About the Campaign for a

Hunger-Free New York

The Nutrition Consortium of NYS, through its Campaign for a Hunger Free New York, advocates to strengthen state and federal anti-hunger programs for those who are hungry or at risk of hunger.  These programs are critical for vulnerable people in NYS, including children, families, and seniors.

Currently, the Campaign for a Hunger-Free New York is focused on advocacy work which includes the upcoming Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2009.  This is a great opportunity to make significant improvements to school meals, summer meals, meals served at after-school programs and day care, and WIC.
